Whitelisting Emails in Yahoo

February 1st, 2009 · No Comments · Buying Online, Tips

Yahoo Mail is very quick to flag incoming mails as spam. All too often our customers complain that they are not receiving our Email notifications, when in fact these Emails are accidentally found “hidden” in the Spam folder.

White-listing an Email is a process in which you tell Yahoo Mail that a certain correspondent isn’t a spammer. Once you whitelist an Email address once, Yahoo remembers your request, and wouldn’t throw future correspondence into the Spam folder anymore.

How is it done?

Yahoo Mail Menu

Simply click on the Spam label in the menu to the left. Then mark the Email(s) you wish to whitelist, and finally press the “Not Spam” button. When this button is pressed, the Email seems to disappear, but in fact it has been moved safely to the Inbox folder.
