MUGI – My Unique Gift Idea

Jack Jaget creates art in two main categories, Christian and Jewish. He is world famous for his book covers, wood work and religious crafts.

Born and raised in the United States of America, Jack Jaget attained high levels of success as Art Director for the World Publishing Company.

During his US stint he won such awards as: Best 50 Books – American Institute of Graphic Arts, AIGA children’s book selection (A total of 14 books), honor book for the Caldecott Medal. On top of this, he was a member of AIGA and the American Heritage of Graphic Arts.

In the early 1970′s he immigrated to Israel with wife and three children where he established a successful graphic studio designing for companies in Israel, like hotels and banks such as the Sheraton and Carlton Penta, Bank Hapoalim, the BIRD Foundation, and many more.

His outlet of choice is wood-working. Each of his hand-crafted wooden pieces is decorated with gold leaf and individually fashioned in various woods. The metallic parts are always plated with gold.

Some of the work which he made in Israel has been presented to heads of corporations and people who have been presented with honorary degrees. Best known Statesman who were the recipients of his books are former US President George W. Bush and the late King of Jordan.

His non-commissioned work includes; Bibles, Psalms, Sidurim, Pesach Haggadah, Machzor, Tzadakah Box, Mezuzah Housings and Torah Pointers too!
