Robin Williams on the “Late Show”

November 27th, 2009 · No Comments · Entertainment & Celebrities

Robin Williams, a “Late Show” guest legend, visited his old pal Dave Letterman this week to promote his new movie “Old Dogs”. The two comedian buddies and somewhat outspoken Liberal Democrats focused the conversation on Sarah Palin – doubtlessly a dream muse for any comedian.

The perpetually hyper-active Williams had this to say about the former Republican Governor’s new book:

“It’s wonderful, I went looking for her book and I found it in the fantasy aisle. With Sarah you get the feeling she was voted least likely to write a book and most likely to burn one. You look at her and wonder ‘Where did they find her, Project Running Mate?”

Williams kiddingly suggested that Palin should take Oprah Winfrey’s place on her show – teasing Letterman about a year-old “Late Show” inside joke – Dave’s fixation with Oprah and frustration for her never coming on the show.

“Old Dogs”, set to for release on November 25th is a Disney comedy with a star-studded cast featuring, Williams, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Matt Dillon and Bernie Mac.
