If you’ve been stuck voluntarily reading a blog for long enough, it is definitely always a fun trip down e-memory lane to pay tribute to its humble beginnings – and beginnings are always humble. If you just got hooked on ’s web-crack recently, clicking through the archives is an awesome (and sometimes funny) way to get an idea of how your favorite blogger got started, since is constantly evolving, even for the hottest fashion-things out there.

Have you heard of refinery 29?
Refinery 29

This unpredictable blogger started out at the ripe age of 11-years-old. Well, since then, Tavi has traveled through the world far beyond her suburban hometown outside of Chicago, and her fashion sense, writing, and even her hair-do have stirred the fashion world. A style Rookie? In a couple of years— even months, at the rapid pace she’s growing—she might not fit that novice moniker anymore!

The blog started off as a joint mother-daughter project filled with collages and shoe-shots. Slowly the blog transformed into Jane’s own personal site where we witnessed the maturing of her tastes. I don’t think there is anything about handmade jewelry or amulets on there, but it is definitely worth a visit.
