Being offered is a four-day summer workshop in Washington, DC and Florida and even New York City. At the workshop, aspiring teen models are taught the tricks of the trade – those which are teachable, that is.
“I want to be a model in New York”
Says 17-year-old Julieta Cardenas, she lives in Virginia, where she is currently freshly signed with an agency.
Modeling Camp prides itself on possessing a staff of industry-insiders. The camp is run by one Heather Cole, former Vogue model. An established fashion photographer named Barry Hollywood conducts the photo shoots of the campers.
The camp offers programs for girls “ages 7 thru 18 in Fashion, Modeling, Etiquette, and Fashion Design.”
New Jersey teen, Chelsea Eareckson and her twin-sister, Hannah begged their parents to sign them up after learning about the camp online:
“My mom was OK with it, but my dad didn’t really understand”
Eareckson said. But luck would have it for Chelsea and Hannah, Mom was finally able to convince Dad.
For $999 kids can learn social skills, runway walking, makeup techniques and self-confidence.
