Making Up in 2012

January 10th, 2012 · No Comments · Fashion & Style

Make up gives you a way to easily express yourself. This is a vital role in showing your fashion and giving your face a beautiful look. Make up varies from season to season so it’s important that you keep up with the trends. If you are wondering what the make up trends of 2012 are going to be, never fear. We have you covered! The New York and London Fashion Weeks are over so it’s time to compile the notes and apply them to our regime.

Natural Looks

Natural looks are going to be big in 2012. Using very little make up in a trend that we saw at the Paris and London fashion weeks. Models were coming down the runways with very little make up and just a touch of pink to their cheeks. Remember that in 2012 less is more.

Smokey eyes

Smokey eyes are also going to be big in 2012. Smokey eye make up was big in 2011, but it really hit its stride at New York’s fashion week. Browns, blacks and greys are the most widely used colors for smokey eyes so keep this in mind when you’re doing your eye make up. Smokey eye make up can be found at every department store for very little money. Invest in some to keep yourself up with the 2012 trends.

Eye Brows

The thin eyebrows of 2011 are gone. 2012 is about having thicker eyebrows. You want to keep your brows tidy, but we’re no longer looking at fine brows as the fashion trend. When you make an appointment with your waxer, be sure to let them know that you want to keep more volume in your brow.

High Shine Lip Gloss

High shine lip-gloss was seen all over the runway this year. This gives you a much more simple look, but is beautiful all the same. Shiny pink lip-gloss and classic red lipstick are also back. Red lipstick has always been a classic look, but now it’ back in the forefront of fashion.

Orange

Orange eye make up and touched shadows around the cheekbones is very in for 2012. As stated in a previous post, orange and tangerine are going to be very big this year. But be sure not to clash your orange eye make up with an orange dress.
