Gisele Bundchen’s 5-Year-Old Niece Makes Her Footprint in the Fashion Industry

Gisele Bundchen is one of the top paid super models in the world. However, she is no longer the only superstar in the family. Her 5-year-old niece is now making a name for herself in the fashion industry. She may still be in preschool, but she already has a promising career at the ripe young age of 5.

Duda Bundchen is currently collaborating with a Brazilian clothing line geared towards children. The apparel company is called Barnadili Mundi, and all designs will be based on Duda’s inspirations. The collection of children’s apparel will be called Duda Bundchen for Brandili Mundi and will be launching in July.

Of course, she will have a full working adult staff with her. According to her mother, Raquel, who is also Gisele’s sister, Duda is not a fashion designer and does not create the designs for the clothing, though she does offer her input, which her team bases its ideas off of. She added that Duda particularly likes butterflies, ballerinas and bows, all of which can be seen in the collection.

Duda also serves as a model for the apparel brand. According to her mother, she is very fashion inclined and always insists on picking out her own clothing. She will receive a portion of the earnings from the sales revenue, though the exact percentage has not been disclosed.

There is bound to be some controversy when a 5-year-old is fully engaged in affairs for grown-ups. Critics may say it is an exploitation of an innocent child. While these are certainly valid claims, it should not take away from the overall positive picture of a 5-year-old sharing her fashion sense with the world. The apparel is based on fashion seen through the eyes of a child, which means that other children can identify with the simple and innocent designs.
