Estee Lauder To Get a New Face, or Two

April 28th, 2010 · No Comments · Fashion & Style, New Stuff

It looks like ol’ Estee Lauder is getting ready to add some spice to its stable of girl-next-door-looking beauties.

The cosmetic giant has announced that it has signed two leading runway models: France’s Constance Jablonski and China’s Liu Wen – this makes the duo the first models Estée Lauder has signed from either country. Cover faces for Estee Lauder have traditionally hailed from the U.S., U.K. and Eastern European nations like Poland and the Czech Republic.

Said Aerin Lauder, Senior Vice President and Creative Director of Estée Lauder:

“Estée Lauder has always searched for global beauties that define a generation. Constance and Liu Wen are the beauties of our time. Both models have quickly captured the attention of the fashion and beauty world”.

Jablonski is originally from Lille, France, and walked the runways for 62 shows in New York, Milan and Paris during the Fall and Winter 2010 fashion season. The blond babe is also a favorite of the editorial fashion world, making recent appearances on the cover of Chinese Vogue and in American, British, French and Italian issues of the periodical.

Wen was born in Beijing, China, and started her career on the pages of Chinese Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Her heels are well-worn from a season of runway walking too; she worked a total of 49 shows for the Fall and Winter 2010 fashion season, along with the likes of Derek Lam – which Estee Lauder sponsored – along with Carolina Herrera Rodarte, Balenciaga and Michael Kors.
