MUGI – My Unique Gift Idea

I am fond of our little online shopping stops, Most Original and Amulet Gifts, but sometimes I look at an item that a fellow shopping junky has chosen and I do a double take. This is why I bring you other kinds of stuff – to show you another side to all the happy-sappy product love that I’ve been checking out and allow you, the readers, to decide whether the item really is crave or cringe-worthy.

This Cow Over the Moon Chandelier ($515) goes a little bit beyond cute to cutesy, and really flies past whimsical straight to twee.

That is not to say that cutesy and twee are horrible, but if we are going to drop over five hundred on something we want to make sure that that item is able to pull off superlatives such as orgasmic, incredible, or Chanel. This chandelier has a certain appeal, though it does not look like a big ticket item. Alternative options for home décor abound, if you want to make a fast-break from the norm do it with something that you’ll still love in say 5 or 10 years, not something which looks like your sweet aunty picked it up at a yard sale in Peoria for 27 bucks.
