Beauty Tips for the Lips

Talking about gifts and jewelry, fashion and style is all fine and dandy. But when our lips start looking like we walked the desert for 40 years – on our lips – then its time to pay some attention and shape those kissers up. Our lips are a constant attraction to men. When our lips are chapped we might not feel as confident. Using ChapStick every five seconds to deal with chapped lips can be a hassle. In and effort to keep your lips from getting chapped, you need to stop the issue at its source. Here are a few ways to keep your lips from getting chapped.

Remove The Dead Skin

Chapped lips are full of dead skin. In order to get your lips back to great condition, you need to remove the dead skin. Take a wet cloth and rub it across your lips gently. You should feel the skin on your lips start to peel off. Do this until your lips feel fresh. Once the dead skin is gone, you can start in with your lip therapy.

Honey

Honey is one of the best ways to keep your lips from getting chapped. If you already have chapped lips you can easily use honey to get them back to great condition. Honey is also an anti-bacterial agent so you will cut down on the amount of bacteria you are bringing into your mouth. Dip a Q-tip into a bottle of honey and then dab it on your lips. You should feel a lot of relief instantly. Combine the honey with a little bit of Vaseline and you will have a recipe for keeping your lips kissable all day.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a natural remedy for keeping your lips in great condition. The difference between coconut oil and ChapStick is the smell that you get. Coconut oil can make your lips smell great while fighting against dryness. Apply coconut oil to your lips a couple of times a day and they will be cured of dryness in less than 24 hours.

Water

The reason that your lips get so chapped is dehydration. Make sure that you are drinking enough water throughout the day. You should be drinking at least 2-3 liters of water per day in order to fight your chapped lips. Once your body has retained the water, you should find your lips less chapped throughout the week.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is typically used for cuts or sunburns. However, many people do not know that Aloe Vera is great for chapped lips. The healing properties in Aloe Vera restore lips to their peak performance. Rub a little bit of Aloe Vera on your lips every day to have them restored quickly.
